Midweek Meditation

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine. Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine. Heir of salvation, purchase of God. Born of His spirit, washed in His blood. This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior all the day long. This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior all the day long. 

Father God, Sovereign Ruler and King of our lives, we praise you now from the bottom of our hearts for all the glorious blessings you have bestowed upon us. We praise you for life, liberty, mercy, kindness, compassion and affection. We glorify your wonderful name. You are God and there is none other. You alone are holy, righteous, merciful and true. Glory to your name. 

Lord, we lift you up for the world to see. We pray that you reveal yourself to all mankind. Illuminate your servants that we may truly be lights in this dark world. May we work to light the pathway that leads to you. Let our lights shine. Let our lives shine, and our discussions engender love, peace and salvation. 

Holy Spirit, we need your guidance. Lead us, teach us, instruct and coach us. Open the eyes of our understanding and the ears of our heart to receive from you knowledge, wisdom and truth everlasting. We surrender our wills and our ways. Do in us, with us and through us all that you desire; and we will be satisfied. These things we affirm in the name of Christ Jesus our Lord.
