Midweek Meditation

Bless that wonderful name of Jesus. Bless that wonderful name of the Lord. Bless that wonderful name of Jesus. Sweetest name I know. There's power in the name of Jesus. There's power in the name of the Lord. There's power in the name of Jesus. Sweetest name I know.

Glorious Father, our Sovereign King, Majesty and Lord, we worship You this morning in Spirit and in Truth; knowing You delight in those that do so. We glorify Your holy name in obedience to Your Word, and sing praises concerning Your loving kindness toward us. Right now we bow because we love You, and You alone. We are delighted to live lives surrendered to Your will. 

Lord, we are truly blessed beyond measure, and can’t begin to understand why. You have been so gracious, loving, and kind, words escape us to adequately express Your goodness toward us. How did we gain such unmeasurable favor? What did You see in us that would warrant such grace? Of all the people on earth, we can testify that certainly Your love is perfect, and Your mercy everlasting. Yet, somehow we still find occasion to complain, bemoan and dishonor Your name. Lord, please forgive us.  

Holy Spirit, be our constant reminder. Be a present help in our time of distress, trouble, and turmoil. Be our strength in the storm, and our guiding force when things don’t seem to go our way. Remind us of Your Word. “All things work together for those that love the Lord…” This we pray in the matchless and glorious name of Jesus Christ our Lord.
