Midweek Meditation

To be like Jesus, to be like Jesus, how I long to be like Him. So meek and lowly, so humble and holy, oh, how I long to be like Him.

Father, this is the day You have made; we are rejoicing and are glad about it. We are excited this morning to worship you. Our hearts are filled with joy. You brought us out of the miry clay, You placed our feet on the Rock to stay, You put a song in our souls today, a song of redemption, hallelujah. 

Lord, we stand ready to serve You with all that is within us. We anxiously await Your instructions. We listen for Your voice to whisper in the ears of our souls precious mysteries of eternal destiny, purpose, power and glory. Speak Lord, Your servants are prepared to mobilize, to move, and to combat the forces of darkness attempting to encroach upon the light of Your salvation. This day, we declare Your righteousness in the land of the living…not today devil, not today!

Holy Ghost help us now. We’ve made our proclamation of war against the enemy. We’ve armed ourselves with the Word, the shield of faith, breastplate of righteousness, helmet of salvation, girded by truth, and our steps outfitted with the Gospel of peace. We need Your leading, guiding, instruction, compassion, kindness and affection to march onward to a victorious day. We thank You now for this, and all You are doing for us, in us and through us. It’s in Jesus name that we pray.
