Midweek Meditation

Why should I feel discouraged. Why should the shadows come. Why should my heart feel lonely and long for heaven and home. When Jesus is my portion, a constant friend is He. His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches over me. His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches me. I sing because I'm happy, I sing because I'm free; His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches me. 

Father, we bless You at all times, and in all things we give you praise. Hallowed be Thy holy name. Thy Kingdom come and will be done. You are glorious beyond explanation and loving beyond description. Your power, grace, and kindness are boundless, abundant and free. And Your mercy endures to all generations. Blessed be the name of our God. 

Lord, we remain in a perpetual state of thanksgiving; and cause praises to ring continuously as we live in the constant hope of Your salvation. We sing from the bottom of our hearts, and cry out from the center of our souls unto You for fellowship, friendship and companionship in the Spirit. Forgive us our sins this day we pray. Blot out every transgression. Pardon every rebellious thought, every carnal inclination and every selfish moment. Cleanse us with Your blood and make us walk in Your righteousness alone. 

Holy Spirit, prepare us as sanctuaries; pure, holy, tried and true. Let our lives and manner of living truly exemplify the grace afforded us through Your love and power. We seek only to please You. We desire to walk holy, talk and live holy this day and always. These things we ask and do affirm in the blessed name of Jesus Christ our Lord.
