Midweek Meditation

I was sinking deep in sin far from the peaceful shore; very deeply stained within sinking to rise no more. But the master of the sea heard my despairing cry, from the waters lifted me, now safe am I. Love lifted me! Love lifted me! When nothing else could help, love lifted me. Love lifted me! Love lifted me! When nothing else could help. Love lifted me. 

Father, we are bolstered, supported, uplifted and refined by Your love and kindness. We are further defined, and molded by Your gracious hand of mercy. You have magnanimously, yet inexplicably made us Your ambassadors, Your children and joint heirs in Christ Jesus. Hallowed be Your Most Holy name. 

Lord, we bless You for Your investment in us. We thank You for Your continued care, concern and compassion toward us. We acknowledge our unworthiness, and repent for every transgression, sin, idle thought, word or deed that was not pleasing in Your sight. 

Holy Spirit, we implore You now to fill our hearts with the generosity of Your Christlike nature. Teach us to be more like You. Open our eyes that we may see, our ears that we may hear, and ourselves that we may serve. These things we pray in the matchless name of Jesus the Christ, our Savior and King.
