Midweek Meditation

Yield not to temptation, for yielding is sin. Each victory will help you some others to win. Fight manfully onward, dark passions subdue. Look ever to Jesus and He'll carry you through. Just ask the Savior to help you, comfort, strengthen and keep you. He is willing to aid you, He will carry you through. 

Holy and gracious God, our Father, Sovereign and King, we worship you this morning in the beauty of holiness. Songs of praise, and melodies of adoration ring in our souls today in expression of our love and affection for you. You are great and greatly to be praised. Hallowed be thy holy name. 

Lord, we pause everything in our lives this morning to give you glory. We arrest every thought, cancel every emotion, ignore anything that would be a distraction so that we may give our full attention to loving you. We love you with all that is in us. You are our hope, our joy, peace, tranquility and salvation. There is no other name under heaven whereby we can be saved. Jesus we love you. 

Holy Spirit, our indwelling and constant companion, please hear our heart’s cry. We yearn for a closer walk with you. Because the Lord is our Shepherd, we have everything we need: we only want more of you. We want more of your glory. More of your power. More of your peace, contentment, kindness and anointing. Thank you now for being our all and all; in the name of Christ Jesus we pray.
