Midweek Meditation

I've had some good days. I've had some hills to climb. I've had some weary days, And some sleepless nights. But when I, when I look around and I think things over, All of my good days outweigh my bad days; I won't complain. 

Our Father in heaven hallowed is your divine and holy name. You have been better to us than we’ve even been to ourselves. Your grace and mercy have followed us all the days of our lives. You’ve maintained us, sustained us, kept, and protected us from dangers seen and unseen. 

Lord, In our most careless moments you were there watching over us. In our most frightening situations you brought calm, peace and tranquility. When nothing else could help, your love lifted us, your kindness encouraged us, and your affection kept us from losing our minds. 

Precious Savior, our God and King, thank you for your favor. Had it not been for you in our lives, where would we be? Had it not been for your intervention and watchful eye we all would have been lost decades ago. Truly we proclaim this morning that in balance our good days overwhelmingly outweigh our bad, and we can’t complain. Thank you sir. These things we affirm in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.
