Monday Morning Meditation

How to reach the masses, men of ev'ry birth, For an answer Jesus gave the key: “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, Will draw all men unto Me.” Lift Him up, Lift Him up, Still He speaks from eternity: “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, Will draw all men unto Me.”

Heavenly Father, our gracious and loving God, hallowed be your holy name. We rise this morning with songs of praises on our lips, selections of worship in our mouths and heartfelt meditations on our minds. Your divine will dominates our thoughts, and your desires permeate our spirits, souls and mortal bodies. Glory be to God in the highest. 

Lord, our world is in turmoil and our lands are set on fire. Hatred, sin, disease and all manner of evil are running rampant, and we are powerless to defeat it. We set ourselves upon a wall to watch and see what you have to say concerning the many requests we’ve brought before you. We turn our lives into your hand and await an answer from you. 

Holy Spirit, speak to us. Speak to us concerning our dilemmas. Speak to us concerning our sins. Speak to us and grant us favor according to your loving kindness and tender mercies. Forgive us our transgressions and blot out our wrongdoings. Save us. Have mercy on us. For thine is the Kingdom, the power, the glory and the honor. It’s in Christ Jesus name that we do pray.
