Morning Meditation

We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord. We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord. And we pray that our unity will one day be restored. And they'll know we are Christians by our love, by our love, Yeah they'll know we are Christians by our love. 

Father, we bless your name this morning for life, love, liberty, food, shelter, clothes on our backs, and most of all for your salvation. Without you we are nothing; we can do nothing and would have nothing. All things come of Thee, O Lord, and of Thine own have we given Thee.

Lord, we clearly hear your voice calling us to unite and to be one, even as you are One. Your unambiguous directive for your children to unify cannot be missed. Your clarion call has been made crystal clear by your selfless sacrifice for each of us; and to ignore you is rebellion. 

We repent now for our selfish ways. We seek your forgiveness. We beg for another chance to better obey you through loving service to our brothers and sisters. Bless those in need, heal those sick and broken-hearted. Lift those that are down and repair those that may be torn apart. And in all that, let us break down every wall of separation that keeps us from earnestly and sincerely loving all your people everywhere. These things we ask in the name of Jesus the Christ, Son of the Living God.
