Weekend Meditation

How to reach the masses, men of every birth, For an answer, Jesus gave the key: “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, Will draw all men unto Me.” Lift Him up, lift Him up. Still He speaks from eternity, “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, Will draw all men unto Me.”

Father, we hear your voice this morning whispering in the ears of our souls comforting words of love, affection, protection and compassion. Our hearts are delighted and our spirits filled with glee. Thank you for keeping us, blessing us, and considering us worthy to be called your own. We are your children and eternal seed. We bless your name and worship you as our Everlasting Father, Sovereign Majesty and Righteous King. You are God alone; you alone are worthy to be praised. 

Lord Jesus, have mercy on our sin-sick souls. Forgive us our transgressions and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Wash us and make us whole. Fill us with your Spirit, and make us one with you. Deliver us from evil and place our feet on the Rock to stay. You Lord are that Rock, our salvation and sanctuary from all hurt and harm. 

Holy Spirit, cover us, keep us, lead and guide us. Teach us, preach to us, encourage, correct and show compassion to us in our time of need. Strengthen us, fight through us, and gain the victory. Be glorified in our lives, immortalized by our praise, honored through our humility and Christ likeness. It’s in the name of Jesus that we offer this prayer.
