Angels we have heard on high, Sweetly singing o'er the plains. And the mountains in reply, Echoing their joyous strains. Angels we have heard on high, Sweetly, sweetly through the night. And the mountains in reply, Echoing their brief delight. Gloria, in excelsis Deo; Gloria, in excelsis Deo.
Glory in the highest to our God, Glory be to God on high. Our Father and Righteous King, we lift our hands in worship this morning for the multitude of blessings You’ve provided for us to enjoy. We thank You for life, love, liberty and for including each of us in Your plan of salvation. Your decision to love us, saved us. We are totally indebted to You. We lift our hearts in surrender as our mouths sing Your praises. You are wonderful, marvelous, tremendous, stupendous, gracious, true and kind. Holy, holy holy is Your marvelous name.
Lord, we rejoice at the mere thought of Your love for us, Spirit in us, and Holy Presence surrounding us. You are our champion, hero, savior and deliverer. We are lost without You. We delight in our upcoming celebration commemorating Your birth, life, death, resurrection, ascension and much anticipated return. We bless You all the day long. This is truly the day the Lord has made, and we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Holy Spirit, fall down on us from heaven above even as You did at Pentecost. Fill us. Infuse us with Your power, might and love. Teach, instruct, guide and direct us as You please. We acknowledge our failings, fallings, and shortcomings. Forgive us for every rebellious thought, adverse action and incriminating deed. And let the words of our mouths and meditations of our hearts be acceptable in thy sight oh Lord we pray. In Jesus name.
Amen
