Weekend Meditation

Everybody ought to know, Everybody ought to know, Everybody ought to know, Who Jesus is. I’m glad I know, I’m glad I know, Who Jesus is, Who Jesus is. He’s the Lily of the Valley, He’s the Bright and Morning Star; He’s the Fairest of ten thousand. Everybody ought to know.

Father, blessed be your holy and righteous name. Your care and concern for us baffles our feeble minds. Why you selected us to be so honored with your presence we will never understand. We can’t comprehend, nor fathom the depths of your love and affection toward us. You, who are beyond knowing have allowed us to come nigh your throne of grace and mercy. Glory be to You, our God and Father forevermore. 

Lord, we do not take this privilege of relationship lightly, nor do we take your sacrifice for granted. Your love and affection compels us to serve you, and influences us to love one another as you have shown us by your example. We desire to walk like you, talk, live and truly love as you have done. 

Holy Spirit, please be with us now. Show forth in our compassion for others. Show out in our daily walk. Be present in our hearts and minds; constantly remind us who we are, and who we represent. And Lord please bless us all according to your will, desire and sovereign plan. These things we thank you for in the precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord.
