Weekend Meditation

Bless the Lord, Oh my soul, And all that is within me, Bless His holy name. He has done great things, He has done great things, He has done great things, Bless His holy name. 

Father, we sing praises to your holy name. You are magnificent in our eyes, and tremendous in all your ways. The sound of your voice is overwhelming, and your glory everlasting. There is none like you in heaven nor in earth. Your power and might are unmeasurable. Your love is incalculable. Your affection sustains our weary souls and heals our broken hearts. We will never cease praising your name. 

Lord, we beg for your continued blessings upon our lives. We need you. We need your forgiveness. We need you to wash us and to make us pure. We confess our faults, sins and shortcomings. We are not able to cleanse ourselves, but your grace and mercy can override all that we are not. Grace us with your presence now we pray. Have mercy on your servants and fill us with your joy. 

Holy Spirit, delight yourself in us. Be our guide and companion. Lead us, guide us and teach us the ways of holiness that we may never sin against you. Empower us that we may war against the forces of evil and every vile earthly nature. Save us, establish us and fulfill our joy this morning we pray: for the joy of the Lord is our strength. These things we humbly ask in the name of Jesus Christ our King.
